Laurence Beckford began his professional career in wood and stone carving as an apprentice to Les Jewell while at Herbert Read Ltd of Exeter in 1977.
Laurence has worked at Hampton Court Palace during the restoration of the fire damaged Grinling Gibbons carvings and as the 'signature' carver during the replacement of the carved enrichments in the State and Octagon Dining Rooms at Windsor Castle.
A testament to this work was published in the Windsor Restoration publication.
