Dick Reid (D.Univ.) runs a long established workshop employing 8 highly skilled apprentice trained craftspeople working for architects and designers throughout the UK and overseas.
The workshop follows in the tradition of the past, offering a range of skills and styles; specialising in architectural wood and stone carving including conservation and restoration of many ecclesiastical and historic listed buildings.
Commissioned works include: finely carved wood, stone, lettering, memorials, heraldry, chimney-pieces, carved and gilded furniture and cabinet-making.
The workshop co-operates with specialist masonry and joinery firms enabling larger works of restoration and conservation to be considered.
