A skilled wood carver and gilder with 25 years’ experience. Accomplished in ornamental carving and recreating missing carved ornament.  Flexible and skilled in multiple disciplines. Currently working mainly with 18thC antique items but also enjoys creating modern ornamental designs and has ability to replicate different styles.  Projects undertaken over the last 24 years have included items from many historic houses including Harewood, Burghley, Woburn, Houghton, Dumfries, Kenwood, Osborne and many of the Royal Palaces.

Also experienced in conserving, restoring and creating gilded surfaces with the associated gesso preparation and modelling missing detail and cut-gesso.  Enjoys mastering new techniques and skills and is flexible and creative.

Other skills include letter cutting and design in wood and stone, wood turning, sculpture, furniture conservation and repair.
